UNIT 9 ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS OF AMERICA

DIG IT		This site is a virtual tour that you must write about and explain what you liked and what you change. Make sure you include specific details about what you learned and how this impacts your understanding of the Ancient Culture.
EXPLAIN IT		Using the professional site, you must create a seven slide PowerPoint that will answer explain your findings.
EXPERIENCE IT		While taking the Inca Trail, keep a Journal on your trip. The journal may use two pictures from the Site, however you must draw another two and include captions. There should be about six entries.
PLAY IT	MayanBallcourt	Take the time to research and even play the Ancient Games of the Mayans. This site is from a teacher Mrs. Young. The game is quite fun and you must prepare a poster explaining the rules and the reasons of playing the game.
UNDERSTAND IT		Create the same timeline only include pictures and align the different happenings between Western Civilizations compared to Eastern. This can be done with Power Point or on a poster.
EXPLORE IT		Take the Mayan Adventure. You must print out and hand in your logbook as you use this site The Science Museum of Minnesota presents Maya Adventure, a World-Wide Web site that highlights science activities and information related to ancient and modern Maya culture.

In order to receive credit you must choose one of the following tasks. There is an opportunity for Extra Credit, you need to check with the teacher first!! Students who have not been consistent with homework must get permission before they can attempt extra credit!!
