Take this opportunity to browse all the famous African Americans that have influenced our nation and culture.  Your assignment is to choose one of the people on the link below and write a biography about them.   This is not just about history, you can include any famous or influential African Americans from today! Follow the list of guidelines to write the essay.  The rubric that will be used is below. This work will be used in your Social Studies and English classes.

• What influence do you hope to have on our world because of this person
